Ways to help

We’re 100% volunteer-run. Here’s what we actually need.

Give as much or as little time as you have — a Saturday a year genuinely counts. We train you for anything that needs training.

Most roles happen in northern Indiana and adjacent counties; a few work from anywhere.

The roles

Transport driver

4–8 hours per trip3–5 trips a year

Meet a hound at the airport or track and drive them to their foster. Usually a Saturday, a few times a year.

Home visit volunteer

1–2 visits a monthabout 2 hours each

Meet potential adopters in their homes before we approve them. You’ll be trained.

Event volunteer

2–4 events a yearhalf a day each

Represent Greyt Angels at meet-and-greets, adoption fairs, and community events.

Photographer

1–2 hours per houndabout one hound a month

Take good photos of new hounds when they arrive at their foster. Critical for the adoption page.

Writer / storyteller

About 4 hours per storyone story a month Remote-friendly

Interview adopters and write short stories for the Where They Are Now page.

Social media

2–3 hours a week Remote-friendly

Post two or three times a week on Facebook and Instagram. Content library provided.

Data entry, adopter application review, database maintenance.
